Struggles With Summerwork

Addy Stupin, Senior Staff Writer

During the summer, high school students are faced with a significant workload to prepare for the upcoming year. Many struggle with balancing their school work and summer activities. Also, after a long school year, summer is a big relief, and it’s tough trying to engage yourself with school-related activities during the summer.

Personally I find myself most conflicted by whether or not I should begin my summer work earlier in the summer, while I still have a school- oriented mentality and so I won’t have to worry about it later, or toward the end of the summer. While I am attracted to the idea of getting summer work done early, doing it in late July or early August appears to be most effective. Although starting later may be a bit risky, it seems better to have the information fresh in your mind for when you begin the school year. Oftentimes, the curriculum for the beginning of the school year has a lot to do with the summer work.

Good luck with summer work everybody!
