Each year around April, Juniors across Hingham High School meet in extravagant outfits at their Prom. Weeks if not months of planning had gone into preparation for this big day for both planners and attendees alike. Feelings of nervous excitement filled the air as this was many Juniors’ first experience at prom.
The prom was held at the Venezia in Boston, a spacious wedding venue with a beautiful view looking out on the water. While some chose to drive, the renting of limousine or mass private transportation services was extremely popular this year as many different tables chose ways to collaborate for the day of prom. After corsages were exchanged and boutonnieres pinned, students took to the dance floor or intermingled amongst one another, enjoying the darkening of the night sky.
Overall, Junior prom was a festive night of fun for many students to detach from the stresses of school life as the last quarter of the year continues.
Junior Aaron Roberts thinks back fondly of the night recalling, “I am glad I went to prom this year. It turned out to be a lot more fun than I thought it would be.”
