Girls’ and Boys’ Semifinal Game

This past Thursday, November 13, the girls’ and boys’ soccer teams had a double header at Canton High School for their Semifinal matches. The girls faced off against Medfield and won 6-2. Eve Hewins scored four out of the six goals. Julia Patterson scored one of the others and the last one was counted as an “own goal.”
The boys played Westwood and won 1-0. Senior Aidan Ryan scored the only goal. Both the girls and they boys played extremely well, with some incredible saves from goalies Amy Kirk and Grant Juric.
There was a lot of spectators on the Hingham side of the stands. There were many parents, teachers, and students who came out in the cold and rain to support the girls’ and boys’ teams.
They both will move on to the finals this Monday at Braintree High. The girls will face off agains Scituate and the boys against Oliver Ames.
