This past Monday, the Harborwomen lacrosse team took on the highly ranked Notre Dame Academy at Hingham High in the dense fog. In the past few years, the girls’ lacrosse team has lost constantly against NDA, and unfortunately, did the same last Monday. The girls started mostly on the defensive side while scoring two goals, even with their very few opportunities. This continued all through the first half as they were only down by one at halftime. But the girls came out of the half lacking as they let up many goals while only scoring once. In the fourth quarter, the girls created more opportunities on the offensive end, which made it one of their best quarters of the game. Following the loss, the girls are still above a .500 average as they fell to a 6-5 record. Captain Caroline Connolly was questioned about the loss after the game and said, “I’m very proud of the girls as we played very hard the whole game, but just made some tiny mistakes that broke apart are whole offensive and defensive schemes.” An attending patron of the game, Ben Brazis, was asked about how the girls looked during the game. He was quoted as saying, “The girls played well despite losing. Definitely fun to watch.”
