As the school year of 2024-2025 comes to a close, Hingham High must say goodbye to another amazing class of seniors, and the class of 2025 is going out with a bang! For their final week of high school, the graduating class had some exciting activities planned.
Senior Assassin is in its peak and the entire school is awaiting who will be the proclaimed winning assassin! Along with the excitement from the game, the seniors have planned an exciting last week of school! For their last Monday of high school, the class of 2025 decided to end their year the same way they started it, with their red senior shirts. Tuesday was thrilling, seeing the “anything but a backpack” theme; ironically, a rule had to be made, prohibiting any living things from being used as a backpack, since several students planned to bring their younger siblings or pets to school to assist in carrying their school supplies. On Wednesday, the seniors looked ready to hit the golf course with a Country Club-themed spirit day! For their second-to-last day of High School, Thursday was white t-shirt day, where the graduating class carried fun colored Sharpies and markers around to sign their classmates’ shirts! And finally, to follow Hingham High tradition, on Friday, every senior of the Class of 2025 wore their college/future plan shirt to school with a massive tailgate in the far parking lot that morning!
Despite being done with their classes, the Seniors still have some fun end-of-year activities to close their Hingham High School journey. A fun field day, senior prom, awards night, senior night, and the final goodbye, graduation! Although this is an exciting time for the seniors, it is definitely bittersweet; moving into adulthood and embarking on new adventures, but graduating also means leaving behind teachers who inspire them, friends who laugh with them, and people who have acted as role models throughout their academic career at Hingham High School. At least they get to come back to Hingham every summer!
One of the graduating seniors, Annika Larsen who plans to attend Arizona State University, describes her feeling: “I am definitely excited to graduate, but at the same time I am really nervous about what the future holds,”. To add to that, Benjamin Kraus, who plans to attend University of New Hampshire, also expresses his feelings: “I am excited. I am ready for it to be over, and I am very excited for college!”.
Overall, although it is sad to say goodbye to another class of graduates, Hingham could not be prouder of the Class of 2025 and wishes them the best in any and all of their future endeavors!
