On Tuesday, May 27, on what seemed like the first beautifully sunny day in weeks, the class of 2025 enjoyed their last day of school.
Seniors’ last day started more than 20 years ago-an idea sprung from a former English teacher, Sue Luce, as a way to contain and entertain seniors in their last itchy days before finals in a way that was organized, meaningful, and fun.
After beginning the morning with a breakfast provided by the junior class, Jesse “The Machine” Green led a motivational assembly. Afterwards, the kids spilled into the bright sun to receive their yearbooks and enjoy some downtime while playing games and signing books with friends. Lunch from Jersey Mikes provided some yummy nourishment; then kids ended the day by grabbing their caps and gowns and lawn signs before heading home.
The Harborlight wishes a happy, healthy summer to all graduates, but especially our senior staffers: Editors-in-Chief Andrew Healy and Will Sartor and staff writers Parker Bradl, Caroline O’Hara, and Caitlin O’Driscoll.
Have a great summer!
