Let’s be honest, although trick or treating is a fun, festive Halloween activity, once you get older, it can become awkward. Here are some things that could pose as traditional, yet remain enjoyable.
There are many possibilities of what festivities to do on Halloween, one being carving pumpkins. Carving pumpkins is a tradition that some families do every single year. Yes, it is something you do during October before Halloween to create fun decorations outside your house, but it can also turn into a contest on Halloween day. There can be challenges, such as which one is the scariest or how detailed you can make it. Again, there are many fun challenges to do with your friends and family.

Jack Feeley, a sophomore at Hingham High School, says, “For Halloween, I make sure to help my mom give out candy to the little kids in my neighborhood, then eat all the leftovers.” Jack demonstrates how even when you don’t go out, Halloween can be a time where you make children’s day special, and get a treat for yourself at the end.

Something that Aidan Holmes, a student athlete at Hingham High School explains, “On Halloween I like to spend time with my friends watching the football game, and after going to parties.” Aidan portrays another great way to spend time on Halloween, mentioning the Hingham High School football team’s Friday night lights game against Silver Lake. Aidan also talks about another fun
