Hingham maintains dominance throughout the meet.

This Wednesday, January 27th, at 7PM there was a home wrestling meet. The undefeated Harbormen competed against Silver Lake, eventually pulling an impressive 58 to 12 win. In addition to the win, which led to Hingham’s, obviously deserved, 4th consecutive Patriot League Championship, an impressive feat in itself, this meet was also notable as it was “Veterans Appreciation Night.” Before the start of the meet veterans were asked to stand and the large crowd applauded. Additionally, the Hingham Police’s Honor Guard was present. They gave a very organized and moving march, in which Officer Ford performed in. Anna Kay also gave a memorable rendition of the Star Spangled Banner and members of the crowd were given American flags to wave. The attendance was large and the amount of people present added to the exciting and patriotic atmosphere. Senior, Abby Donohue, attended the game and said, “It was a really fun game and I’m glad I could come. I’ve come to a few of these and I’m going to miss them.”

Congratulations to Hingham High’s powerhouse wrestling team on an impressive season.

Good luck in future tournaments!
