This past Monday the American Field Service club at Hingham High School hosted a Halloween event celebrating spooky traditions all across the globe. Vice President Kyle Thorne says A.F.S., “was originally a Red Cross organization during the World Wars but then became a student intercultural program to encourage the knowledge of other cultures in order to prevent another world war.” The club set up stations depicting different countries Halloween traditions, including treats and little biographies at each set up. A collection of authentic German chocolates, Mandarin oranges, Japanese Pocky and candies, Filipino chews, and much more made my, and my others’ 2016 Halloween one to remember.
