The smiles of Abigail Fortuin, Sophia Suarez, and Kate Jagielski capture the joy of day.

On an unusually chilly and misty June morning, 318 Hingham High School graduates received their diplomas Saturday. Students met in the auditorium to chat and gather their tassels before lining up and walking onto the field under a cloudy sky. After speeches from Principal Swanson, Superintendent Dr. Margaret Adams, School Committee Chair Nes Correnti, Salutation Grace Desai, Valedictorian Nathan Tesler, Student Speaker Susan Anderson, and Class President Calvin Larson, students filed in row by row to receive their diploma. Then rain held off until about midway through the alphabet; then the raw wind arrived with a steady mist. After about ten minutes, though, the mist stopped and the students were all smiles after each and everyone had a diploma in hand. Congratulations to all.
