Hats Off Class of 2017!

The class of 2017 celebrated their graduation from Hingham High School on Saturday, June 3, in a ceremony that began with sunshine, continued in the rain, and ended with some breaking sun.

After walking onto the field to the traditional processional “Theme from Pomp and Circumstance” played by the HHS band and led by Mr. Cincotta, class advisers Ms. O’Connor and Mr. Raymond led the graduates onto the field followed by faculty.

Then the National Anthem was sung by senior members of the chorus and Principal Dr. Paula Girouard McCann and School Committee Chair Liza O’Reilly offered greetings and opening remarks.

Student speakers included Noah Goodman, Class Salutatorian; Kyle Sutton, Class Valedictorian; Student Guest Speaker Alexander Ferrara; and Class President Max Giarrusso.

Although the rain became fairly steady in the middle of the ceremony, there was even a rumble of thunder, the ceremony finished with rays of sun glistening over the grass.

The future looks bright for the class of 2017. Congratulations
