The Hingham Girls Lacrosse team has had an amazing season so far with an incredible record of 11-2, cementing their current #3 ranking in MIAA Division Two. The teams’ only two losses have come to Notre Dame Academy and Lincoln-Sudbury. Although they have lost twice, these teams were both out of league games. The team is 7-0 in league play, making them first in the Patriot League. The girls are all very happy about how their season is going so far, evident by sophomore Mia Milligan’s comment “I am so happy about all of our games so far and how we have been playing! I am hoping that we continue playing like this and that our season keeps on being fun and successful!”
This Wednesday, May 6th, 2026 the Hingham Girls Lacrosse team had a very exciting game against the Hanover Girls Lacrosse team at home at 4 pm. Hingham beat Hanover with a final score of 18 to 4.
The girls started off in a great mood which led to the success that they had during this game. Goals were scored by a variety of girls from different grade levels. The sophomores on the team who scored were Mia Milligan, Vivian Nicholas, Eva Perine, Jenna Varholak, and Maggie O’Neill. The juniors who scored were Maeve Maroney and also Kylie McAloon. Finally the seniors who scored are captain Emily Kiernan and captain Ella O’Neill. All the girls did so amazing! On top of all of the goals, Mia Milligan, Emily Kiernan, Maeve Maroney and Kylie McAloon all ended up scoring 3 goals and scoring hat-tricks! So many different girls won the draw throughout this game but Mia Milligan and Maeve Maroney were especially impressive! Along with this, freshman goalie Lila Donahue had 4 saves!
After the game all of the girls were extremely happy with the outcome of their game and how the season has progressed so far. Senior captain Emily Kiernan says that “I am so happy with how everyone played today! This season has been so fun and I love all of the girls on the team and hope that we continue to win!”
