A delicious, new donut shop arrived at Derby Street Shops in Hingham on September 2nd, 2026. Although only having been open for a few months, the establishment has received tons of great reviews. People comment on their yummy menu that offers lots of flavors of donuts, baked goods, and drinks. For a small business, the Union Square Donuts has been an amazing addition to Derby Street, giving everyone an option for a sweet treat.
With a variety of classic flavor desserts, and lots of uncommon ones, everyone has a chance to try the delicious treats. Not only are the donuts top tier, the menu features dirty sodas, coffees, chai, and more. What sounds better than a Boston Cream Latte? The September arrival for the shop was a great time to feature some classic fall flavors, and that is exactly what Union Square Donuts has done. A popular donut flavor has been the Dubai Chocolate Bar which features a brioche bar with creamy pistachio filling, toasted katafai pastry, dipped with smooth dark chocolate. Freshman Grayson Teahan states, “The flavors looked so good. I wanted to try all of them. It was a perfect taste of sweetness, and you could tell they were fresh.” Grayson’s thoughts reflect how many people feel about Union Square Donuts.
The moment you step into the store, it feels like you have stepped into pure wonderland. The smell of donuts contrasted with the warm colors of the walls is just what is needed to fill a perfect day. Whether you are there for a quick coffee, or a nice lunch, Union Square Donuts has got it all. The feeling in the store is cozy, and comforting, making you want to stay as long as possible. The donuts are so perfect, it would be hard not to grab seconds. The shop fulfilled something Derby Street was lacking. The perfect donut shop. “The store feels welcoming when you step in, and the service was great. I am so glad that Derby has gained a donut shop like this one because everything here is perfect.” Freshman Layla Barnes explains.
The first two months of Union Square Donuts have definitely made a positive impact on the community! It landed with a bang, with people from multiple towns wanting a bite of something sweet and tasty. The menu features classics, seasonal flavors, unique coffees, and a scrumptious cinnamon roll that you cannot go wrong with, which attracts a variety of customers. Although the shop has other locations around Massachusetts, Hingham has been blessed with an amazing shop right down the street. In honor of November coming, people are looking forward to seeing what else the store will bring in for the next season. Union Square Donuts is off to a great start at Derby Street!
