Hillary Clinton’s Impending Announcement

Hillary Clintons Impending Announcement

Louisa McCullough, Contributing Writer

While Rand Paul and Ted Cruz have already announced their candidacy for the 2016 presidential election, the country is now waiting with bated breath for Democrat Hillary Clinton to make her own formal announcement.

The former First Lady is 67 years old. In 2008, she lost the Democratic nomination to President Obama who later named her his Secretary of State. Consequently, in the 2016 election, she is considered experienced and well-qualified.

Although it was said after midterms that Clinton would announce her campaign last January, she has yet to do so. However, rumor now has it that Clinton will make her announcement on Sunday, through a video posted on social media. In the released video, Clinton will say her campaign themes. A formal speech is up in the air.

She will then head off to South Carolina, New Hampshire, Iowa, and Nevada to have
personal one-on-one and group chats with voters.

Hillary Clinton hopefuls pray that she will restrain her occasional dangerous flaws in running. In 2008, she soiled her name by failing to announce a clear reason for why she wanted the highest position of elected office and arguing with her advisers. At the beginning of March, Clinton conducted government affairs via her personal email account.
The apparent scandal brought polls down, way down, costing her previously held leads in key swing states, according to a Quinnipiac poll.

With that said, her path to nomination is apparently quite clear. Without another strong Democratic candidate in sight, Clinton will focus on enacting a stable campaign plan.
