Last Saturday morning, proud teachers, family members, and enthusiastic students lined the Senior Parade route to give the graduates a proper send-off. While this event was not a traditional June Farwell for the students, it certainly left a memorable mark during this quarantined spring of 2020.

Seniors dressed in their college t-shirts and decorated their cars with balloons and streamers. The crowd cheered, holding up handmade signs while the cars passed. Junior Abbey Foley attended the parade on the Pleasant Street stretch. She described, “It made me very happy to see the graduating class parade through Hingham. This shows how much our school administration and PTO care about giving these seniors some kind of send-off until the official graduation in August.”

While COVID-19 is creating unique challenges during this time, it is also producing new traditions for the Hingham Community. Congrats and Goodluck to the Class of 2020!
