Hingham Swim and Dive Faces Hanover

Thursday January 21 the Hingham High Boys and Girls Swim and Dive Teams faced Hanover at Hingham’s home pool, UMass Boston. The girls continued their undefeated season with a score of 90 to 72, while the boys unfortunately could not continue the winning streak achieved after Tuesday’s win against North Quincy-on Thursday the boys lost to Hanover 63 to 89. However, there were strong performances by Dylan Davis in the 200 yard individual medley, Kevin Grady in the 200 yard freestyle, Davin Thereson in the 100 yard freestyle, Justin Moczynski in diving, and many others. For the girls, Captain Maddy Townsend had a strong performance in the 100 yard breastroke, as well as senior Maddie Collinsin the 500 yard freestyle. Captain Elle O’Connor said, “The Hingham High Girls Swim and Dive Team is looking forward to finishing the season after having a successful undefeated record.”

The team’s next meet is against Silver Lake at the Kingsbury Club in Duxbury this Tuesday. We hope for a successful meet and rest of the season!
