On Tuesday, May 9th, both of Hingham’s track teams battled sporadic downpours to compete in a triangular track meet against Duxbury, who was in turn competing against Whitman-Hansen. Though the meet was chaotic and often slippery, Hingham triumphed over Duxbury.

The boys scored 86 points to Duxbury’s 52; the girls were victorious, scoring 77 to 59. As athlete Spencer Thorne remarked, “It was a lil’ wet but we pulled through,” before echoing a common mantra on the team: “It’s not called ‘Spring Track’, it’s called ‘Outdoor Track’.”
